Ranger 23 Owners & Class Assn. |

| The designer of the Ranger 23, Gary Mull, said that “the intention was
to produce a little ship capable of sailing anywhere in the world safely
and swiftly.” The first boat was build in 1971 and the last in 1977 (739
total).
The Ranger 23 Owners and Class Association is a national
organization dedicated to helping owners maintain and enjoy this great
boat. A newsletter
is published four times per year by Arvel Gentry, who has owned his
Ranger 23, Kittiwake, since 1972. You may be familiar with his name
from reading the technical books on sailing by C.J. Marchaj, or from his
contributions to the book, The Best of Sail Trim, and Tom Whidden’s
book, The Art and Science of Sails. Membership in the organization
and subscription to the newsletter
is $15 per year. A collection of R-23 related information is also
available(original owner’s manual, sail plan drawing, speed polars,
etc.). |
